Summer in Florida can be brutal. Hot, Humid, fast burning sun. Bought a few of these for my family. Primary usage is sun protection while performing outdoor activities (biking, kayaking, hiking, etc.). Tested it last weekend when heat index was 105 in Central Florida. Fabric is not as thin as I expected. I guess that is why I was sweating like crazy, but it really dried fast, especially when I felt the slightest breeze. I am a 5'8" woman, slim body, bought a Sm and length was fine for me. I found it might be a little short for men. Regarding smell, fabric works as claimed.
