Great sock! Compression but with a quality soft fabric, not the itchy polyester that you usually see. Easy to put on yet supportive - stayed in place. Roomy toe box.

Adidas socks are woven to the top. As a result, they fray. Nike socks are folded over at the top, and the woven end sewn into the sock. However, my kids like the "feel" of the addidas sock better. These socks have the best features of both, at half the price. Well-made construction. And the elastic is strong, so the socks hold shin guards in place. Excellent buy!

I found these at a local soccer sports store as well as two other brands. I bought one pair of each to test since I need them everyday due to wearing medical leg braces. Normal dress socks fell down repeatedly and as a retired soccer player I knew soccer socks had a better chance of staying up. After about 1 year the elastics in the other two brands started failing & falling and the Twin City brand is going strong. I went back to buy more from my local store but they didn't have XL (shoe size 15) anywhere in their system. Sorry. I'm sorry too but then also glad I found them on Epic Sports web site. Nothing is perfect. Be aware that my medical condition has withered my calf muscles and the Twin City socks are still snug. If you have super calf muscles and then add shin guards the socks may be too tight. I can't say for sure. The material is excellent, the color holds true, so I highly recommend these socks.

A totally fine over the calf athletic sock. No issues. I use these for soccer. I usually like the socks that I can fold over at the top. These are *not* that type. But they keep my shinguards in place without issue so far. I have average to slightly thin calves. If you have bigger calves ,these might me a little snug. Good sock overall, but in comparison to my PUMAs and Umbros, not quite as good. They do cost less, but if you are buying one or two pairs of socks, it's probably worth the extra money for the next level sock. If you are outfitting a whole team, the price savings may be more relevant.
